Last night I read about how to correctly write a query letter, and the Writer's Market 2011. I also continued my research online trying to find publishing companies. So far they only want submissions from writers with agents, or a certain type of novel. I wrote a ~29,000 word young adult fantasy which as of now I may be planning on expanding it and adding more detail. I have even begun the sequel.
So far for the past couple years I have gotten nothing but rejection letters from agents and publishing houses. It could be that my query letters were not written the way they wanted to I'm going to try again. I am determined to try and start a career with writing. My dream is to become a successful author. My next job is to correct my query and cover letters, make sure there are no errors then try, try again.
If anyone knows anyone I can talk to about meeting with an agent, editor, or publishing company please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.
I just need to get all those self-publishing companies to stop calling...All I did was ask for information, now they won't leave me alone.
