Alright! So I have started P90X! I am exhausted! That could also be because I didn't sleep much last night. For the first workout, I spent an hour on the Chest and Back and then about half an hour on Ab Ripper X. That's what it said to do for normal day one.
The Chest and Back disc kicked my butt! I tell you what! The work out had me do different kinds of pull ups along with different kinds of push ups. I even had to do some weight lifting.
The pull ups were the hardest thing for me to do. Even when I was in gymnastics, I was never good at it. Since I'm moving back to school on Sunday, I ordered some resistance bands. If I can't afford that pull up bar, I can at least afford the bands. I'm going to find some way to make it work. My arms had one heck of a work out.
Next was push ups. I never knew there were so many different ways to do push ups. At the very least I can do ten at a time...I can't keep up with the thirty at a time they do... O_o Not that ripped yet.
Finally, I lifted weights. All I really had here were 5 pound weights. The other ones were about fifty pounds...those were dad's. This was a good work out as well. After all of that my arms are already sore. I know it will pay off later though. Hopefully once those resistance bands come it, it will help.
After that was done and over with, I moved on to the Ab Ripper X. That is intense, and I love it. If my lower back didn't hurt so much during the exercises, I would totally do it.
There were all kinds of sit ups. Each sit up and crunch made my lower back burn like nobody's business. My abs were worked a bit too. After all that, I went down to the kitchen and got me some ice! I'm hoping that will at least help me stay less sore tomorrow.
Once this comes in, I'm going to use their recovery formula after every work out. I'm still going to keep to my fitness pal for food, so I have to save 220 calories for this little smoothie. I pray to God it tastes alright. And now, it's time for a shower, then bed time. I'm hoping I can change my schedule for a morning work out when I go back to school. If I do that, I have to wake up at 7:15 every morning and get going. I need to not make excuses like every other time. Note to self, go to bed by eleven!!!! I'm going to have to set an alarm...
