Jon Landau

Today was pretty cool.  Classes ended early and I had to go right into helping Paul set up the Ballroom for the lecture that Jon Landau gave at 7.  IT WAS AWESOME!

Setting up didn't take that long.  I mainly had to play guard dog for the equipment.  He came in around 2:30 to check everything out and I got to talk with him for a little bit.  He also took a picture with me and his Oscar!  He brought it for everyone to take  a picture with.  It was the oscar he won for Titanic.

He gave a really interesting lecture.  I handled the audio which wasn't bad until somehow the wireless mic fell off.  I had to switch to the podium mic.  Not that bad right?  Well just wait.  When he stepped away to allow people to do a Q and A session, he used the wireless mic again right near his face.  Every time he emphasized a word the mic would make a loud noise.  I had to hover over to sound board so I could turn it down quickly.

Other than that it was an awesome night =D  Now I am exhausted.  Oh...who is Jon Landau?  He's one of the producers of Titanic and Avatar.  Now this blog was pretty cool right?  We can't put out any copies of the event but it did play in the Comm building and the performance hall.
