Mom - Hospice

Mom's at the hospice and is finally resting well today. People are still visiting and Dad hasn't left. Erin and I are at home and taking care of the dog and cats. We go to the hospice and visit and she can't respond at all to us. She will squint her eyes and moan but that's pretty much all she can do. It sucks to say it like this, but soon mom is going to leave us. A lot of people are wanting to find it and find a better way, but every doctors we've heard from have said there is no way. No we're just playing the waiting game. It sucks royally but we can't do anything.

Happy Birthday Devil Dog Darling!

  1. Sarah,

I've been through this too many times, and there's no easy way. You're doing exactly the right things, and showing incredible strength. My heart bleeds for you, and you are in my prayers.

  2. Im glad she's comfortable. Paul's right, and I know we talked a little about this yesterday... you are doing all you can do right now.

  3. Be assured of my prayers for you, your family, and your mother. I know these days are hard and, yeah, there is no easy way. You are special and strong and I am praying you keep putting each foot in front of the other--in the Lord's strength! Carol McLaren
